Whatever happened to christmas trees and lights on tower cranes?
Gone out of fashion or 'elf an' safety?
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

I didnt see any at Mcalpine's yard on the A14 either..... sure they have done it every year :?

Yep Health & safety has a lot to do with it, some people used to even put small trees on the counter jibs but the argument was that they could effect the crane when it was in the out of service weathervane position, some firms won't even let you have an electric Kettles and toasters in the cabs nowadays. H&S getting silly, but then it's ok to have an Eastern Europead banksmen that can't speak a word of English and just nods his head at you,-truly ridiculous.

Shame really, showed a bit of humanity.
Haven't been on the western end of the M25 this winter, I guess Saints can be seen for miles as usual?
