Allis-Chalmers D-270

Post #1 by bigstewie » Tue Sep 15, 2009 6:09 am

This tractor was built in England 1954-1957. Im about to start restoration of this tractor but have very little info about it, other than it has 3-point linkage. Typical of tractors here in N.Z. there appears to be several non-factory mods.I would like to restore it to original

Have you tried the Allis-Chalmers club (UK) for info ? they often have a stand at some of the UK classic tractor or steam shows.

(sorry not got address)

Hi Stewart, According to my information, the D 270 was a restyled model B and was built at the AC Essendine plant Nr Stamford, Lincolnshire in UK.
D 270 production started in Sept 1954 and ran to 1957 when it was replaced by the D 272.
