Can anyone tell me what the sensor is that is underneath the air filter housing is?
And would anyone have an electrical schematic diagram for the 784...thanks

I cant see anything coming off it apart from 2 wires,,,it is screwed onto the metal fram work?

Struggling to remember exactly, our slightly later model has a digital tacho. I think right at the front end of the engine on the timing chest below the water pump.

Me too, I think there should be a tube from the back of the sensor to the inlet or manifold.

Should be a thin clear tube attached from the back of the sensor to where the suction hose attaches onto the air filter box and as Pete says,on the front rhs of the engine timing case,there should be an angle drive for the tacho cable to connect to.
