996 loader lift ?

hi all,

I was wondering how much weight a david brown 996 loader will lift,

Hi Chris,
A lot of variables here. It could depend on the make of the loader. From memory, DB fitted their own loader (ql I think), but it could be a Mil, Quickie, Farmhand, or other aftermarket model. There should be a plate on the loader's frame somewhere but bear in mind whatever figure you come up with you will want to take age into consideration for seals, pins, pipes etc., and if you're looking to be on the limits then stub axles and wheel bearings could be at risk too.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

Also whether or not you have the rears filled with water and what you are hanging of the rear end. The max rating may only be appropriate on a nice level concrete yard and don't forget the weight of the attachment/bucket.
