HI All,
I own a Massey 3165 loader with a AD203 Perkins.

My old starter is stuffed,but it has absolutely no numbering on it.So I need to find the Lucas number.
My starter is located on RH side,from seated position.
The USA versions had a Delco.

It's not as easy as you'd think,to find the correct parts for these industrial tractors.
Recently tried to buy a new Filter to leak-off fuel pipe,but to no avail.

Jim is there nowhere down under that you could send it to be rewound and reconditioned?

I would think it should be pretty easy to get re wound

Other than that just unbolt it and head off to the local tractor wreckers with the starter motor in hand and compare what's lying about

I would suggest that you look for starters for the 165 agricultural tractors. Bepco, and Vapormatic are in AU and I would be shocked if they did not have a starter for a MF165 with a Perkins AD203. I cannot help you since all of my data is for US tractors with Delco systems.
