Not Fowlers .................. Marshall Colonials. Two very different companies and very strong competition with each other at that stage. Although rare, to my knowledge, neither machine is unique ........................

Hi Paul.
Sorry, but I missed this post.
These old Colonial tractors are certainly of interest, Thank you for posting.
I saw both these with Don, (Marshall MP6), when I visited your brilliant country back in January.
I have posted pics. on here somewhere.
The 1909 four cylinder engine from the 2 speed was on a test bed. It had been started the day before I turned up and they ran it up again for me, it sounded pretty good.
It belonged to Tom Callow and I must say that the wonderfull welcome we had from him, Don Scouller,Ian Morrow, John Ford and their famillies, and from all the other machinery nuts we met was great.
Fred

Always a pleasure to welcome our Marshall/Fowler friends from the UK Fred. It was great to see the two Colonials trundling around the ring too .................. I was also able to get my MP6 up there for the Show thanks to the generosity of one of our Club members. We had the "First" and the "Last" of the true (Gainsborough designed and manufactured) Marshall wheel tractors.
