Post #1 by tone_rmz250 » Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:27 pm

here is a fairly new cat 16h grader that i spotted on the dobwalls bypass in cornwall! yet another machine down there that has been parked up due to the poor weather. i know very little about graders, infact i know nothing at all about graders so i'll leave it to someone else if they want to add anything about the machine

Ah! Mr John Jones,

Despite the apperance, the Grader isn't new. They rebuild them on a regular basis, if you get chance take a peak at the service meter, you may be surprised!

Takes great care of there support machines, they also rebuild there 824's as well.

just my two pence worth!

Interesting facts Stuart about Mr Jones, I think there are quite a few companies around who like the paint pot

Ah the good old grader, the most important machine on site when running scrapers, keeps the ruts down on the haul road, less stress on the scrapers, drivers and tires, and less pressure on the poor old fitter, ( HA HA), faster haul times. Now they are used to keep the bendy toys going, ( ADTs).
