Re: wild old grader
Wow its a nice find but put a smile on my face when I saw it, cos it looks like a drag racer more than a grader
Sorry I can't identify it for you.

What a beauty, it looks like it has got Fordson rears on it, being Aussie could it be
made by Moore Road Machinery? they made Graders and rollers for
the market here, out of proprietry bits, any other Aussies have
an opinion?

Re: wild old grader
Hi, Greeniron.
Moore Road Machinery were quite active manufacturers back in the 1940's-50's-60's, maybe as far back as the 1930's. A LOT of shire councils had Moore graders and rollers, both multi-tyred and 3-pointers. I seem to remember that they also made front end loader attachments for various wheel tractors as well. I can also vaguely remember seeing their graders based on various International wheel tractors too.
Their graders never attained the 'sophistication' of the more recognised manufacturers and were probably better described as maintainers rather than construction graders but they still built a LOT of roads across DowNunder over a LOT of years.
Thanks for sharing.
