Very early Allis Chalmers HU, though the rear wheels have been changed, or a very late Edwards-Ryan. My guess is a HU with 42T tandems retrofitted.

Put us out of our misery, then, Deas. I just now it's going to be a special for the colonies or a local mod. I doubt we'd ever have seen one here in the good ol' U of K.

Hi, Brian.
It's neither a 'special' for the 'colonies' or a local 'mod'. I photographed it at the Best Show On Tracks at Woodland, Ca., in June, 2008. If'n ya click on da fota, yull c orl da stuff I blotted out.

Hi, Holger.
Yes, it is a nice machine. I can imagine that it might have been a bit of a handful to operate and perhaps not quite as 'user-friendly' as the modern graders but, in its day, it would have been 'state-of-the-art'.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
