I think you are right Joe,it was done and dusted months ago.But did the Ruskies grease palms with more cash.I find it odd that England had two votes, including themselves. It is revenge for the Panorama programme ?
Bet Gordon Brown gets the blame for it

I agree with you John, in fact i think the FA should fund it themselves the premier league teams can afford to pay these guys obsene wages each week so if they want it that bad they can pay for the whole lot themselves and give something back to the people, and leave us the tax payer with one less burden. Talking about the Olympics if i remember correctly when Mr Blair and his sidekicks worked out the cost did'nt they forget about the VAT !!! i knew the country was in trouble then !!!

I think its the right time to sort out the football in this country. The Prem clubs paying silly money to foreign players. In the past, sucessfull teams like Liverpool introduced new young players that were home grown.Chelsea had only one UK born player in its team recently.Same with Arsenal. The fans are being ripped off big style.

sucessfull teams like Liverpool
What when? haha

I think these foreign investors have alot to anser for if im honest! I think the most british team in the so called big 4 is actually Manchester United at the minute! And the rest of them are or nearly are all foreign! Its beyond a joke! To be honest im actually glad we didnt get the world cup purely because we would have been an even bigger laughing stock at the end of it when england (team) do soo terribly on tehre home soil!

There seems to be more foreingers coming into the lower leagues now and that really cant be good for english football either!!

I for one am glad that my Team dont seem to have that many foreigners in our squad at the mintue with only 3 in the first team squad at the minute! Although we do seem to have a few coming through the ranks in the youth team! :-(

My team by the way is the Mighty (not really that mighty) Nottingham Forest

I have been very luck in my time to support a team like Leeds United.Been through a lot with that team.Met Don Revie many years ago and my son was lucky to be a mascot for a home game. Also had a long chat with my favorite players including Lorimer,Hunter and the late great John Charles,a smashing bloke who took time to talk to the real fans.
Football like everything else in the UK is screwed. It will NEVER be the same.

See your point with Liverpool,Leeds will win the Prem before them

Not much media coverage of 'fans' in tears at news, normally there's a few over emotional crying into their lagers.

unlike South Africa last summer, our fans didn't even reach the
jeering & boo'ing at Rooney stage.

World class at rallying on FIFA though almost at once,
in fact probably more effort spent on that
than the frantic day the three stooges spent in Zurich chasing a deal
