LCH

[Hammer man]

Hi all .I know what LC stands for,Long Carriage/Crawler.But what does the H stand for?My machine is a Zaxis 350 LCH.I thought the H might be for Heavy.As looking around,i see you can sometimes spec a heavy version of counter weight.On the Hitachi site,i think the standard counter weight is about 6.6 tons(or something like that)for the 350/3,but you can spec a heavy version that weighs aprox 7.4tons(or something like that )
Nobody i speak to can really answer this.

Not just Hitachi though,seen other machines marked up LC,& LCH.Same size machines,but LC & LCH.

Ive only ever seen it on Hitachi's from 35t up!

hello ,h stands for heavy ,lch = H-front is Strengthened Throughout for Toughness and Long Life.
- Reinforced using thickened plates
- Strengthened boom foot, boom top and arm cylinder mounting
- Using arm damage prevention plate and 4 square bars
- Adding bushing to bucket linkage
- Reinforced bucket bracket

Bang on there Bruce oz .I asked the man from HM Plant yesterday(G.B Hitachi dealer)& his description of "H" was pretty much exactly what you said.Plus the LCH has the reinforced ribed section at the base of the stick on the face above the q/hitch.
