Mining Disasters

Hi,
As some of you know I sing with a Welsh Male Voice Choir.
We are currently rehearsing the Welsh love song Myfanwy, so as I sometimes do I went on U tube to find it and sing along for practice.
This is a sad song of unrequited love but what I saw and heard I unashamedly admit led me to shed a tear.
Lorries and plant of the sixties are featured but you'll not be thinking of them if you watch this clip.
Every one should watch this and never forget the human cost of coal.
"I was there. I will never forget."
The police man carrying the child was a personal friend.
In the Senghenydd Disaster shown towards the end of the clip my wife's family lost two of her great uncles whose bodies were never recovered.

Yes Fred what a terrible tragedy Aberfan was :( alas human nature and one of its tragic and many failures, lets hope that this never happens again and that we can learn from the past to not make such disastrous mistakes.
