Crossrail on TV
If you're interested in civil engineering projects, watch or record BBC two at 9pm on Wednesday. First program in a series about building Crossrail, Europe's biggest construction project. Should be good.

Re: Crossrail on TV
A massive project with a lot of issues to resolve. One of the problems in the UK that causes rail conjestion is that passenger trains are run as multiple units with limited capacity for passenger and baggage, plus too many rail companies. Turn back the clock 15 to 20 years, we had engine and 10 coaches plus the HST's. these trains can take over three times the amount of passengers at the same speed , if not faster than the units, up to 125 mph. I think the money could be better spent, starting with re nationalising the rail system.
Should be a very interesting programme
