Yes, its selfmade. Mostly in aluminum. The scale is 1:16. 6 motors and 12V, radio controlled

In difference to american or english backhoes, the german models always were built with tilting buckets.The truck in the front is also selfmade, the original was built by Henschel since 1935

I know absolutely nothing about model making. Do you make every last thing from scratch? What sort of man hours to make a model like that?

Yes, the most parts are made from scratch, not the motors. Most used material is aluminum from the craftsman market.

I don't know how much hours to build it, i think 300, perhaps. Always i build this models with a lot of interuption

Thanks for the reply. Out of interest is it a matter of cutting, shaping and drilling? Do you draw plans on the computer? How about joining aluminium? Do you have very sophisticated machine tools or is mostly by hand and eye?
