Re: Some Scratch Built Models 1/25
Havent a clue as to the number of hours. Just fiddle with them when in the mood. Just use basic tools, Scaple blade, square, drill press, bandsaw etc. Just a lot of trial and error to get the result. Have a local model shop which stocks a good selection of plastic extrusions which I use a lot. Mostly just plastic sheets rods and tubes of various sizes. Am presently working on a D4D but dont know when that will be finished.

But great models there, great detail as well .. thank goodness for plastruct
but seeing these models here makes me want to do a few more one off's
This one i did a few years ago now for a great collector, name of Dave McManus, of Hemel Hempstead, some of you might of come across him, or even had your old CITB tickets off him around the London area .. the low loader was scratch as well
This picture is of the first 3 jcb models i did .. the 3CX was still being worked on, all these are built to a scale of 1/25th

Fantastic work on your models, have you built many more machines?
I really enjoy the scrapers, they would be a challenging build it think

Hi Modelmaker
Yes they take a while to do. I find I have to work on them when in the mood or else I make mistakes and have to redo it again. Am currently working on a D4D for something different. Have got most sorted out but having a few problems getting the tracks sorted out. Here a few more pics. I also have a few truck kitsets that I have modified.
