Well looks like the fire bugs have been out and about  , 826GII thats had a touch of the fire treatment. Must have got very hot, as aluminium melts a 660degC, note the melted turbo and rocker covers. pulled the half shafts, diconnected the steering and pulled it off the tip to an area where we can get the lowboy to it. Looks like a write off, machine is less than two years old.

You are the one in the middle? :D

Thank you for the pics! It is a shame!
No possibility that it selfignited?

Looks like it will be written off, not much to salvage but the axles, wheels, maybe transmission if we are lucky. When it takes the aluminum on the engine like this one it normally means a write off as the heat causes too much damage, a cab fire alone can cause a write off due to the cost of replacing the rops structure, wiring, seat, gauges and the time and effort involved in re-fitting it. If the machine is a current production model, ie: if this was a "H" series, sometimes you can get a "plug and play" cab off the assembly line.

Forensic guys have crawled all over it and cant find anything to confirm one way or another but site have had trouble in the past with vandals.
