Hi guys.
had a go at the PH2 fuel system today. (disaster) one fuel pump stuck, eventually fettled it. when I did the spill timing on the first pump I undid the large union nut into the body then the spring and a thingy with a cross cut like a screw driver slot in one end (fits inside the spring)it was in the bottom of the spring on the first pump, but on the top of the spring on the second pump. looked on some views of pumps but couldn't see it, Any one Know which is the correct way?

Hi Norman, not sure if these are the pictures that will help you but this shows the correct fitment of the delivery valve; if not wait for Fred or pm him.

The spring looks the same but the delivery valve is different, its a small shank with a shoulder on it, the shoulder end has slot across its face. Looking at the Jerk pump it looks like it fits on the bottom of spring. It's a Bryce pump.

Norman, for a quick answer type Bryce pump into Google and look at the pictures, hope that sheds some light for you.

Hi all
Had a go at the on going winget 4s saga yesterday.
Jerry rigged a battery etc to the (newly fitted) starter motor etc, bled system and gingerly fired it up. Well it started more or less straight away but only on one cylinder ( the one it didn't run on before). Checked injector good spray pattern ( couldn't spell atomisation), so checked spill timing etc all seemed ok, was getting a bit peeved and covered in crud so called it a day. All in all pleased that the electric start conversion worked, so will check exhaust port for blockages (had it before) tappet clearances etc, Source of data says 4 thou cold another 7 thou hot :dizzy: All weather and Covid permitting of course.
