Liner Roughrider 2000 sb

Post #1 by mac0202 » Thu Jun 21, 2012 1:18 pm

Anybody out there have a parts list or schematic of how teh brakes work on this model.
Brakes not locking on but do not seem to be fully off either.
May help before I get the spanners out!

Thanks in advance.

This was a common fault on those dumpers as the mud and other crap got drawn into the brake gear.We used to strip out the rodding and linkage along with the brake actuators, cylinders etc and give it a good clean up and check that the brake release springs were not weak or damaged. Some of the dumpers had rods connected to the brake pedal and some had hydraulic brake system the same as a car. So not a hard job to sort out I used to put a slight shamfer on the brake shoe edge. Some of the larger Liner dumpers had disc brakes.and a transmission hand brake.
