It starts again. I've been using the dumper for a short while when it started knocking quite bad.
It's now in bits again I've removed the piston and conrod checked the small and big end bearings both have wear and the oil scraper ring is missing when I checked last time they weren't this worm. The big end is _20 I've got a engineer friend coming to measure the crank and pin I'm hoping not to remove the crank fingers crossed

Got to love that they show it with hubcaps fitted on the Morris 8 3 stud front wheels!

  You realise you probably had to pay more for the hub caps as they were probably 'optional extras'

Update on my George fowell dumper. Most of the engine is in bits the crank is still in its -30 thou I've been looking for big end shells I've seen-20 & -40 I really don't want to strip it down anymore than necessary the flywheel looks like it would be a nightmare to remove.
Does anyone know how much white metal is on the shells? The engineer has said he could remove 10thou or should I get another engine which would be a shame as this one is on the makers plate regards Vince
