Sorry to hear that you have been down with the virus, but glad to hear you are on the mend. A lad that used to work for me was not so lucky it beat him, he was only 53.
The tightening torque for the AVA cylinder head is 60 ft. lbs. or 81 Nm. if you prefer, Be sure to put back the head gasket and shims as you find them or you will have to reset the piston bump clearance. I will explain how if you need to do that. Sequence for tightening the head below.
AS I think I said, there is no handbrake as such. The brake comes on when you push the pedal right down to disengage the drive, then move the gear to neutral and latch the pedal down to hold the brake on for parking. I have no pics but the drawing from the parts book below shows the ratchet and pawl attached to the lever that is used for that purpose.( Part Nos. CO4, CO5 and CO7).
