A friend and myself have just bought a couple of very sad Aveling Barford PB Dumpers of 1950 vintage.
They (or one is) fitted with a very nice JAP 5 engine, currently seized, but otherwise in good nick ,considering the dumpers have been in a hedge bottom for more than 30 years. These were the very early version which were pedestrian controlled. Later ones were ride-on with a seat. We don't know yet how many walk behind machines were made, but these may well be among the last to survive, and the more complete one is undergoing restoration.
I wonder if anyone has any brochures or other information on them.

David, are these the "walk behind" variety or the later ones with seats. I have a friend in Ireland who has just bought one similar to my Walk behind models. Is this the same person initials J.M ?
I have the manuals.
