Liner 2550sb
Liner 2550sb
Hi just wondering if anyone has any information on liner 2550sb site dumper with 3cylinder listed diesel engine. I just bought one but The cushion drive coupling between the transfer box and front drive shaft is in tatters. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Candice and welcome I would suspect that if this drive is a rubber doughnut type coupling then you should be able to pick one up off EBay or a decent drives/bearings supplier, hope that helps.

No kidding!
Was that a BMW prop donut you were offering up in the background?
Had the original been in better shape I would have suggested measuring up the bush seats to see if you could find some polyurethane inserts that would have been close enough to do the job, but by the looks of things it too looks pretty tired

Hey slooby, it's actually a donut off a 4x4 transit. My friend services the local electricity board vehicles and I found it across in the scrap yard! Was toying with the idea of sandwiching it between two plates but I don't know if it would take the pressure. Are these couplings in any other dumpers I wonder? I've never knocked across one before

'Fraid I can't help you on the couplings from other dumpers, our Thwaites is far too old and basic to use something as flash. Replaced plenty of them on the leggy BM's I've owned though, and they looked just like the Transit one.

G'Day Canice and welcome to the Forum,
I certainly would do my best to make that Ford one fit. It will handle the load no trouble, just need the holes to line up.

I have to agree with "cobba" on this one so long as the holes line up it should take the load so give it a try you have nothing to lose.
