Re: What Model Thwaites
Welcome Nigel, that is a very clean and tidy little 3 cylinder dumper, I like it a lot. Nice background shot too. Sorry I am unable to help with make n model but someone will be along soon enough.
While waiting have a good look around the machine for any ID plates riveted to the body or chassis. Some are riveted to the rear panel like mine should have been and some on the chassis or floor area on the opposite side to the driver. Have a good long look. Also see if you can find a plate on the engine to get the serial number off it too.

Re: What Model Thwaites
Hey. thanks for your reply, I've owned it for a couple of years and it needs a lot of work but still runs nicely. I want to try and track down some parts for the engine and it's in need of some decent brakes, but every thing has been spray painted and has'nt been maintained for years. As you can see from the background of the pics, brakes are important! So any help in pointing me in the right direction for parts would be really helpful. There is a plate on it next to the seat but it has so much paint on it, I think all the info has gone.

Thanks Essexpete, from the info on this forum, I think mid 80s is correct. But 3 ton I'm not sure about! I've had nearly 2ton on it and thought that was enough! Least that gives me a direction when looking for parts.TA.
