Good day everyone
I have over the last few weeks been getting the dumper back to life the drive chain is now free apart from a couple of links (diesel and only engine oil freed it off) and have the new fuel system fitted it started up on the second attempt and now fires up on the first crank , however I do have a problem I cannot see how the throttle connects (I have been controlling the speed by hand at the moment) I have included a couple of pictures showing what I have but could some kind soul show me what should be there
many thanks
Nicholas

Re: Thwaites duper throttle
Hi Nic, I have no idea but my best guess would be that a connection would have been made at the other lever which has a piece sticking out for a connection to be made to it.
Would I be correct in saying that if you pull that lever towards the left of the photo then you would be revving the engine? Just having another look I can see a ball joint on the lower part of the same lever, that should be your connection point.
Hope that sheds a bit of light on things for you.

Re: Thwaites duper throttle
hi Jeremy
yes the ball joint is the connection point thats ok the problem is as you press the throttle the lever as you say pushes it over and revs the engine problem is the lever that it uses against does not return to a centre point so therefore the engine is at full throttle the bar that passes on the left has nothing on the end to return the lever to a lower speed
best regards
Nicholas

Re: Thwaites duper throttle
Nic, my best guess as to what you are implying is that the throttle return spring (which is not the one in the photo) is broken and missing.
Hope that helps.
