Gents,
Just been to look at a small dumper which the owner assures me is a Stothert & Pitt, it's not in the best condition but it is unique as its a front steer model with rear wheel drive! Does anybody remember their type of dumper in the UK?
Cheers
Ian

I have a brochure for these but never seen one in the metal , I don't think they were a big seller as 4WD was all conquering by 1980s.

That one in the picture is FWD and rear steer not the other way around, going by my view.

Hi Cobbadog
On closer inspection you can see the steering link going through the front axle, a weird set up as it is more like an rsj, not many of these still about I would have thought?
Cheers

I think it was Barfords updated version of their Bantam.
Dunno why they moved to front steer.
