Hopefully I can get mine cleaned up and a decent paint job done. Only the mud guards and top of the skip need straightening. Where did you find the brass plate? Do you think the engine would of had a bonnet?

I think it was riveted to one of the mudguards, I think engine covers depend on model, mine was supposed to have one
but there's no evidence of it.

If your DVLA are anything like our RMS people the info should be very accurate. We can't look sideways here without it being passed and verified by the authorities.
So re start your search here with that info and see what comes up. Nice to hear that the engine is in good working order. You would have to do something pretty bad to kill one off.
All I have on my Liner is the four 1/8" holes where the ID plate used to be attached. At least I have seen what mine should look like so one day I will get a brass plate cut to size and get the engraving done then stamp the numbers.

Dinly.
The skip on mine was out of line by a good 2 inches vertically, had to cut, repair, and shut to fix it, the repairs are also on Winget 4s posts.

Come to this late but I think this is a early Barford Bantam , distinctive skip shape.
Pic below is a later one with square mudguards.

I was waiting for you to come in Jorg and did not have to wait long !
The Bantam has the angled corners at the back though but never seen a Bantam with Hydraulic tip so maybe your right.
The Corgi model which they say is a Bison also has this skip shape.

DVLA list it as a Barford last taxed October 1987.

It is only the 4wd model that has the engine cover going by those last lot of pics.
I like having an engine cover just to keep from getting burnt, rain out (when and if it ever does rain again) and looks. But that is my opinion and this is your project so what ever you like is great.
