Thwaites Orion gearbox

Post #1 by Julian » Wed Nov 02, 2016 9:59 pm

Good evening all. My old Thwaites Orion gearbox needs surgery as it's making metal in the oil. It's an old chain driven one which is the Newage CM model.

Nothing is available from Newage except seals and bearings (which are fine as I changed them years ago) so has anyone got a scrap box or, better still, a known good one?

Cheers Julian

David Cornwallis is a good guy to talk to. I visited his place when sourcing parts for my Nimbus. Some good links below.
