Looks like George Fowell were producing dumpers for the French market - I wonder if this model spawned the similar types shown in some of the brochures on this thread?
I had a drive of this one (which either came back to UK or never went to France!) a couple of weeks ago:

Thanks, I like the military (presumably WW2) tow hitch!
So I wonder if the Clowez was a copy of the Fowell, or was the Fowell a copy of the French machine?
George Fowell seemed to have very close connections with France, but I'm struggling to find much early history of the firm.
They were believed to have started dumper production in the early 30s?
