Surplus Cat trucks in oz.

Post #1 by FOWLER MAN » Fri Apr 11, 2014 12:49 pm

Hi,
I photographed these Cat,793 trucks in a yard in Brisbane, most had not had the skips fitted.
A week later I passed another yard full just off the Bruce Highway near Gympie but had no chance to photograph them.
I was talking to a guy at a barbi. and he was telling me that his company had imported them for the mining industry and due to a downturn in mining they couldnt sell them.
He was not a happy chappy!! :( :(
I'm sorry to say I upset him further by telling him that the best machine Cat. had ever produced was the "Propaganda Machine."

Yep for sure loads of mining gear parked up, waiting for the coal prices to improve.
