Sorry for the sultans of ping inspired title.
I have a 3 ton (maybe) dumper and I have no idea what it is as there is no makers plate.
Pics to follow as I am at work without camera or dumper.
It is yellow but it could have been green before.
It has a 3 cylinder perkins engine, 3 forward speeds and reverse, 4wd, axles with brakes next to the diff (if they worked), double rams for lifting the front skip, fuel and hydraulic tanks built into the top of the rear wings, a square looking engine cover, a rollover hoop with compair on the plate. and a broken seat.
I belive the seat isn’t a manufacturer built feature
Whats me dumper?

Re: Whats me dumper?
If only the makers of all these unidentified dumpers had spent another 7shillings and 6 pence and affixed a proper manufacturers serial number plate !
Compair - Holman made dumpers briefly so maybe one of theirs.

After the powers of google it looks like a compair holman
The next question is where to get an idiots guide for it as it looks like a bit of a bitza as the axles look like the one on thawtes

They probably are, all the dumper maufacturers were just tin bashers really using proprietary axles , engines and gearboxes.

Re: Whats me dumper?
And speaking of engines anyone know what the valve clearances should be as it popped off a push rod which made it a very slow mobile smoke machine .

You could try contacting Compair Holman themselves, they are still going. They were very helpful when I required information on my old compressor.

Re: Whats me dumper?
Picture of another Compair Holman dumper, a 2t swivel skip with a 2 pot Lister Petter engine. It does have a brass serial number plate, first part of number starts D20 but there's some stickers under the paint on the side of the engine cover that reads something like RJE 2000.
It belongs to my brother-in-laws landscaping business here in Ireland.
One design fault probably common to others is it's easy to get a stone wedged in front of the clutch pedal with embarrassing consequences
