I don't think we need to be worrying about synchros in these gearboxes do we??

Straight cut crash box - no synchro, but still a lot of bronze.
The selectors are bronze and there are a bunch of plain bronze bearings including the centre of the reverse gear.
(also the drain plug!)

I would avoid using any EP grade oils in these old gearboxes, they are not designed for it, use straight SAE grade only.

Well folks, I've managed to answer my own question after removing the sheet metal covering the gearbox and finding this under the years of crud...

Those oils are so old I can't even find a cross-reference.
