With posting videos I post them on my YouTube account then add the link here. It is the easiest way I know how. Look forward to seeing some pics and possible video.

Hi Jeremy, I did that and do it on a regular basis. Tried so many things that did not work. In the end Holger found an issue but I do not know what. Just glad to be back.
Cheers Cobba

The steering box in my Roughrider was made by BISHOP as stamped on the flat plate. In my case the small 'peg' that engages the worm gear was badly worn. Normally the adjusting nut removes most freeplay but mine had worn too much. If you have the same issue then the peg can be welded up and filed into shape. I fitted new seals on the cross shaft that holds the drop arm and filled with fresh SAE90 oil.
Not sure about your description of the 'phosphorous nut' is. Are you able to post a pic with more info?
Cheers Cobba

Took it to a engineer he has cut it in 3 parts and drilled two bolts down the length saying it's worth a shot because it's scrap he said it would take up the backlash I'm rebuilding it tomorrow fingers crossed

I don't quite understand the repair and a pic might make it clearer, but very happy you are able to try something. Hope it all goes well for you.
