Mick, you need to click on the 'browse tab' which is in the 'upload attachment' section immediately below the 'post a reply'
When you have clicked the browse tab, select the image from your computer that you want to post, then click on the 'upload the file(s) tab.
A small box should appear showing the upload progress, when it disappears from your screen then you should be able to scroll down to the very bottom of your post and click the submit tab.
Your photo should then be posted.

Thanks for the info Jeremy, I pressed the submit instead of the preview button, but I have tried for a few hours over a couple of days to upload the photo I get the page with the uploading in progress but then the main page goes blank and it says "site may be being updated" or unable to upload file. Its strange as the video I posted of the Aveling Austin went ok.

The file size may be too large, that would be my guess.
