Chipping Steam Fair 2013

Post #1 by Jeremy Rowland » Sat May 25, 2013 10:27 pm

After last years show which I thoroughly enjoyed I decided that I would make the effort to attend this years show and it was well worth my while. There was a different selection of plant at work of which I will post a few pictures. The weather had been as cold as winter by me last night and despite the forecast of a sunny day I wondered just how cold it would be, as happened it was a scorcher and I caught the sun on my neck and face.

Hi Jeremy,
Glad to see you had a good day, and thanks for the pics.
I'm pleased to see another old Fowler out there. Nice restoration too. :D
They obviously couldn't find an original Burgess oil bath air cleaner, they appear to have fitted a later Aveling Marshall 140 replacement.

Oh man....that spit is awesome! Is it a replica or a fully airworthy plane?

Joe I believe its a full size replica that contains parts from the real thing; for those who wanted you could pay and have your photo taken in the cockpit.
