Martyn every time see picture of your loader see what appears to be a "license plate" if you will attached to top front of radiator. Now in recent pictures with other machines yours seems to be only one with that identifier. What is significance of that identifier. Don't see something like that in this part of the world.

Hello Wayne.
Machines that were owned by district councils often had number plates fitted to them,even tracked vehicles like excavators and road rollers.
My machine was built in the late 1950's, I would guess it was then refurbished in 1965 and painted yellow.It then received its numberplate. The reg plate prefix would indicate Hereford / Gloucester area. This info adds up because this machine came from that area to my mates place in Devon. I will find some photos of Drotts with plates.

Martyn thank you for explanation, adds to historical background of machine if it continues to be displayed after restoration. Probably a conversion item at shows.
