Tomorrow i'll be visiting 'The Royal Show' an agricultural show in Warwickshire, sadly 2009 will be the last Royal Show
However I am taking my camera and will endeavour to photograph as much machinery old and new that I can find, particularly construction and material handling equipment.
Watch this space.
The Royal Show, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.

Well I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed by the show because as I feared a lot of manufacturers and dealers have stayed away so most of the show was given over to equine and lifestyle/leisure exhibitors. The wet weather doesn't seem to have deterred people on the first day, but the machinery stands were quite quiet.
The biggest suprises were on the local New Holland construction dealers (small) stand were they had an E9SR micro excavator, which i've never seen before and an E18B fitted with an extending dipper, though I was unable to ascertain if this is an OEM New Holland product.

Thanks for posting IBH, I have an idea that it may be the last year for the Royal. A combination of extortionate stand prices and the downturn is probably what's keeping the Ag. Co.s away.......it probably felt more like a glorified car-boot sale than the No.1 place in U.K. to showcase the latest developments in Agriculture

Re: The Royal Show, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
I found that different dealers were displaying products from the same manufacturers- there were three seperate stands with Kubota tractors on them and at least two, possibly three displaying John Deere products with only one John Deere dealer doing the only live demonstration that I came across.
The show has definitely declined considerably since the last time i'd been and I can see why the decision has made to discontinue the event.
Anway, more photos:

Some more photos. I'll post the photos I took of classic/vintage tractors and vehicles tomorrow.

Thanks for posting your pics I must say though that I'm not really surprised when you said you were underwhelmed by the show due to the lack of certain manufacturers.
This was pretty much the same at SED this year although I thought it was still an excellent show many big names did stay away due to cost cutting excercises thanks to the credit crunch.
