I am organizing a trip to K J's with a strong possibility of a visit to the open cast at Ffros y fran.I need to know asap how many of you would be interested. This will be an ACMOC event but I think if we had a few non members tag along there would not be a problem.
Please let me know if you are interested. It will be a Saturday in March.date to be arranged. You will need to bring protective footwear and high viz clothing also a hard hat.
This could be a very interesting event.

Just an update on this visit. It looks like it will be held in March.
The dates I have asked for will be either 7th 14 th or 28th March.
Waiting for the boss of K J's to confirm a date.
Should get confirmation next week.I will then post details and joining instruction

Re: K J SERVICES / FFROS- Y- FRAN VISIT
Both places are close to the heads of the Vallleys road A465 .K J services are at the top of the Rhymney valley. They carry out major overhauls of heavy plant including engine rebuilds. Ffros y Fran open cast is a couple of miles away.
The plan is to split the day between the two sites. Will post directions. We will most likely meet up at K J' s first.
