We were talking about this and wondered if it will end up like the Commercial vehicle show in 2009 where most of the manufacturers (Renault,DAF,Volvo,M.Benz Etc) have pulled out due to the recession.

As I am kind of involved through my blog site with the organizers of SED, I can report that the show will still be going ahead as far as I know
I have been asked to attend for two days to do some live blogging from the showground
If I hear any different I will let you all know

Re: SED (Site equipment Demonstration) 2009
Hi Folks,
I managed to get to SED today and briefly met up with Nick Drew who is having a very busy time there.
Smaller show than previous years guess its been credit crunched nonetheless it was well worth the trek down there, plenty of classic plant on the Lighthouse stand.
Took loads of pics and as usual very hard to decide which shots I should post here.
I won't be posting all my pics in one go just a few at a time.

Cracking photos Jeremy- thanks for sharing them.
The Hyundai coal shovel is a suprise, is it a Hyundai produced item or something that E.P. Industries have built?

I'd almost forgotten the yumbo 3964 existed... we had an IH 650 on demo for a while back in th eday at Morgans. Big impressive machine but if i recall correctly kept blowing o rings on the hydraulics. surely the pressures had'nt been "adjusted" to make it dig better...
there are old fitters and bold fitters but no old bold fitters...

Re: SED (Site equipment Demonstration) 2009
I visited the SED Show today, but I was disappointed with the quality of the exhibition overall. It just wasn't the same atmosphere with the majority of the plant manufacturers - Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, Volvo, Bell, Terex, Thwaites etc, etc not in attendance.
The Lighthouse Club display on their stand was excellent however!
