PONTYPRIDD GREAT WELSH BITE SHOW

Took some machines to the showground today,three Drotts a Fordson major and a new Caterpillar mini digger.Hoping for the weather to hold for the next three days.
Will post pictures when fully set up at the show.

Some pictures, the 125 is now fitted with a bucket.It will be moved to my mates place for its long awaited workout

IT is always mighty interesting to see you you have as a Drott and what we have by the same name:

Of course both are correct. Drott was a fellow who started out making aftermarket loader attachments for dozers
and ultimately branched into various excavators, this one being modified to be a log loader.

We also have one of these things configured as an excavator.

I think we are slightly off topic here :dizzy:

But Yes I have seen the American Drott backhoes before on the web and in some of my books, am I correct in thinking that they were at one point part of the Case group??

Drott manufacturing was absorbed by the tennaco group about 30 years ago. The 4 in 1 buckets were made by Rubery owen under licence in the UK.
