I attended this excellent event today so a big than you to Ian and Pearl Davies who hosted this event it was nice to meet up with lots of plant folk that I know and from this site Ian Perrot, Martyn Williams I have only posted a few shots for the moment but will try and post more as soon as the chance presents itself.
Fred where were you? I was hoping that you would be there? I did tell Barry Cosslett to say hello from me.

Re: Neath Steam & Vintage Show 2019
Some more photos as promised; the Hymac 580D was working well till the dipper arm split open by where it is fastened onto the boom (see the last photo)
Fred Evans former Fowler was not fitted with a blade so although it wasn't used as a dozer, it was used to drag the old Case-Poclain rubber duck out of the way as it was too close to the 22RB drag-line at the other end of the working field.

Glad you could make it Jeremy and good to see you again! Ian Davies always puts on an excellent show with something for everyone and a lot of hard work goes into the planning, the only variable is the weather but we've been lucky for the last two years, the fowler did get fitted with the blade and Ian marks the end of the show by digging up the show ring with it much to the dismay of Pearl his wife!!

Re: Neath Steam & Vinttage show 2019
Great pictures I would love to get to that show one year, I love that old Ford 13-6 Autodig what a lovely straight old machine reminds me of being a kid during the 70's playing on them! I also noticed amongst the JCB's a very clean 3D mk3 does anyone have any more pictures of that one. Is Martyn still restoring his JCB 2D as it's not in any of the pics this year.

Yes Martin is still, restoring his jCB 2D but didn't take it this year, he was operating a. 22RB and I think it will be his next project if he could fit one in his garden

Nice pics ,looks like a really good plant line up for a Steam show , that is some selection of JCB's !
Seeing 3CX's in classic plant line ups is making me feel really old .
Remember a Ford 13/6 turning up at my school to remove a embankment at edge of playing field and being fascinated by it .
Strangely the tipper with it was a Foden S39 artic with one of them dump trailers that hinged in the middle ( Neville ?)
Empty it kept getting stuck on the wet grass and bunny hopping out .
Much more entertaining than English Lit. !

Sorry Patrick those are the only two photos I took of the Scammell it was in lovely condition; I wondered what engine it had it in? I have a feeling they were powered by the 14litre Cummins?
