Hi Guys, I'm planning to attend, but not taking a machine. This year's event should see the debut of David Wills' (ACMOC president) D6U together with box.

Re: KETTON CEMENT
Some years ago I dug out a large lake for Peter Scott at the Slimbridge Wild Bird Trust, I chipped away at this lake job with one of those noisey Terex tractors, it was fitted with a Garwood hydraulic CCU that was keen to blow the odd seal, ( there is a joke that ends like that) anyhow I was realy happy with my lake construction job untill P. Scott told me it was to tidy , and to rough it up a bit, take a chunk out there and a bit out here, the box I was pulling was an open bowl Onions with greedy boards fitted, when I started this job P.Scott left the site to go to Penguin Island with another chap that owned Birdland, I dug this lake out over a 4 month period, some weeks doing 4 day's other week's just working the weekend, thousands of bird's come to stop over or live on it. so I would like to think it was a job well done.

Hello Rolly
Would liked to have gone but work got in the way, nights last night and on standby on Sunday. The editor of classic plant is there on Sunday.Just phoned me,he has had a few survey forms back.It seems that most people like Caterpillar machines according to initial results JCB lagging well behind.
Cheers
Martyn

Re: KETTON CEMENT
Hi Roly, I went to Ketton today, but didn't see you.
David had problems with his D6, he couldn't get the donkey to start. After a lot of fiddling about, he traced the problem to a cracked rotor arm ! he was really unhappy that he couldn't take it ! Maybe next year.
Here are a few of my Pics from today....

Hello John
Those donkey engines can be a right pain. They allways let you down when you need them to work.
If David reads this,I know he was looking forward to working his machine.Keep your chin up mate, its the joys of owning vintage machines
