Minor fire damage(not!)

Post #1 by Hammer man » Sat Dec 03, 2011 10:27 pm

Taken weds at a quarry where i went. The machine was only 6 mths old at the time,& has sat there for around 6 mths now.A hydraulic hose went spraying oil onto the turbo apparently. The driver saw the flames come past the door & jumped out.3 fire engines were needed to put it out.Only the rear radiators were untouched.

I was working at an adventure park for kids. The high ropes and assault course, the archery, shooting and zip line are all obvious hazards. I said..........."bet its fun doing a risk assesment here!" :(

"I dont bother" :o said the man, "if I did no-one would come................we now do POSITIVE RISK ANALYSIS!"

willibald, wasn't pretty. changed to a duratec tub grinder as engine wasnt as enclosed and was seperate (on the same chassis) so if the worst did happen it couldn't do so much damage but machine just couldn't cut it on work we were doing so had another new willibald, albeit with automatic extinguishers!!!
