Another snapped track(number 2)
Had a track chain link snap this morning on a Hitachi ZX 250 im on.It snapped on top of a 3m high stock pile that i was reducing in height. I managed to get the digger off the heap dragging the track as i went, moving the machine to some level ground. Its taken ALL day to fit a new link, although the fitter kept getting called away to sort problems out on the production crushers. So hopefully we will get it put back on in the morning.

At least you're on good dry ground Neil, there should be plenty of volunteers.
Joe, I noticed my 120 had quite a bit of wear in the track frame where the idlers sit. Had to tack a bit of plate in there to keep things tight. Just thought I'd mention it.

Surpried to see you on such a shabby looking machine Neil. Looks to need some TLC.

Its not a bad machine, fairly "tight" on the pins,no oil leals etc.We have 4 of these ZX 250`s,2005 with around 10000 hrs now.I think they are all sold now,but they have been good machines.

Re: Another snapped track(number 2)
Well, yesterday, another track chain link snapped.I managed to track it to where the pics were taken, but by that time the link had gone on both sides.I dont know how it was still holding together
As mentioned in the excavators section i then went on our Volvo EC460CL
As from monday i`m covering for a holiday running a crushing job.I will be on another ZX250.That will be all 4 of our ZX250`S i`ve driven in the last few months.
