325 Shtuck

Post #1 by SRB » Wed Dec 02, 2009 12:38 pm

A new ish 325 on trial when received a phone call it was stuck, when i got there it this is what greeted my eyes......
In defence, the ground had a hard crust of about 2 inch, then slop underneath, you could walk on it no bother but once you broke trhrough........
Apparantly tracked forward and started to sink, tried to track back but the suction had got it, tried to dig himself out but it just kept going

Used a 320 to dig out the front of the tracks and managed to pull itself out, no damage and nothing a pressure wash couldnt fix!

In the last pic you can see the impression of the Cat logo left behind in the muck! (last but one pic sorry)

I agree practice makes perfect as the old saying goes, and there is no substitute for experience.

Ok Sean, How would a card stop you getting into that situation? Ground conditions were at fault here, a mystical card won't solve that at all.

Again to echo Jeremys comment, no substitute for experience...

Hi Sean, As some on here don't understand sarcastic remarks or find some things funny :dizzy: You probably need to start off with" this is a sarcastic remark" so they dont jump to conclusions and take it the wrong way. ian.
