Dutch flying Hitatchi!

Post #1 by bogtrotter » Fri Aug 07, 2009 8:51 pm

Anybody else seen the vid on Nicks' Digger Blog of the 11T hitachi being recovered in a somewhat unorthadox manner!! Cant quite see why it wasn't pulled out but the peat upto the top of the bonnet suggests she'd been down and drowned. Well worth a look!!

Very interesting. Does anyone know what capacity that crane would need to pick up 11 tonnes at such a distance ? Must be rathe a lot.

Dunno what capacity would be, does dwarf the poor old hitatchi though!!!

Thanks d4c24a - couldn't figure out how to put a link in!!

It looks like a 500 tonne Liebherr crane.

Little correction Image

It's not a dutch flying Hitachi. Image

It happend in Denmark in the place called ‘Svejstrup’
The Hitachi Zaxis 110 crawler crane came stuck in a swamp area.
The mobile hydraulic crane is likely a Liebherr LTM 1300.
