Mechanical failures!!

Post #1 by Nick Drew » Sat Jun 23, 2007 8:38 pm

Here are some shots of the old Cat 215DLC that I was driving last year that had a boom snap while I was operating it!!

I am sure Ross will have seen a lot of breakages in his line of work!!

I very nearly needed a change of underwear  !! As the boom fell to the left and hit the cab !!

Good pics Nick, now if ever there was a machinery failure it was the Ruston Bucyrus 20 H. a mate and I owned one and I was never so glad as when she broke her back and went for scrap. They were 22RB basicly with the old mechanical drive under and hydraulic topsides. V6 Cummins for power, regards rayman
