My wife and I were on Vacation last week in St. Augustine Florida. We went to a neighboring town to see some freinds and look for some potato digger parts. Saw this rig on the side of the road. Its a Florida DOT Gradall with a Telestick attachment. It makes it a long reach knuckle boom excacator. Goes in place of the bucket and has the arm at the top that makes the pivt work off the main boom housing.

Re: Gradall with Telestick on Vacation
I don't think Gradall ever made a digger with a conventional boom, I do seem to remember that it was them that made the first hydraulic excavator in the early forties due to a shortage of manpower because of the war, there was one or two of them that I came across here in the UK back in the sixties but have not see one since.

The telestick attachment just makes a Gradall a knuckle boom type machine I think it gives it a reach u to 60 feet.
