Yes they did make excavators and when they became part of the IBH group some of their machines were marketed over here as Hymac, there should be some pics of them in the Hymac thread if you wade through it, I'm sure I posted a couple of pics in there.

In 1969 whilst part of the Rheinstahl Union Group Hanomag bought Hatra which was also an Rheinstahl Union Group business adding excavators to its product line for the first time.
Hanomag's own excavators were supplemented bu additional models built by Eder.
In 1974 Hanomag was bought by M-F (Massey Ferguson) and excavators built in Germany and Italy plus Eder models were marketed as Hanomag (and M-F).
In 1980 Hanomag was bought by IBH, Hanomag excavator production continued in Germany, M-F models were dropped but Eder excavators were still marketed as Hanomag.
The Hymac 890D was badged as the Hanomag 650C/LC, the Hanomag 201 and W201 were developed jointly by Hymac and Hanomag.

In 1984 IBH collapsed, it was sold to local investors and in 1986 Sennebogen excavators were marketed as Hanomag machines. Komatsu became Hanomag's majority shareholder in 1989 and excavators where dropped.
