Its no secret that I am quite passionate about Hymacs, as they were some of the first 360 degree excavators that I operated.
Please post any photos of Hymacs that you have here.
Here are some of mine..

Thanks for the great shots of a rare 690, I just wish I had the time to rescue a machine like that
I look forward to more Hymac shots, and perhaps you could start a Priestman thread with those great shots of you father at the controls!!
Nick

Here is a shot from Hymac promo leaflet showing how the 1301 Synchron would have looked when new.

Heres a couple of shots taken by myself in 1974 when I used to go to work with my Father during construction of the M27 south coast motorway between Southampton & Portsmouth they show a Hymac 580C from John Laings fleet which was working on "batter drains"

Nice looking machine Nick! It looks really modern! What year is this machine from? Do you have any more info about it? Hymac is a pretty unknown bird for me. I See it has what we call in sweden directly translated but probably wrong "slope hydraulics" the outlets on the side of the dipper arm for tilting buckets or a hammer?

That´s a really long shaft, isn´t it? Seems extremely long on the first photo.
What´s a "batter drain"?
Edit:
Hi nixs! Nice to see you here and a big welcome! Thumbs-up!

Hi Nixs,
Great to see you have joined the site!!
Well believe it or not that machine was built around 1991/2 and they were the last models of Hymac manufactured which was a shame because it was a good machine but the company was having financial problems and in the end folded.
You can read more about Hymac in my Hymac section at http://www.maskinisten.net
Nick.
