A couple of Poclain rehandlers pics

Post #1 by Gavin Phillips » Sun Oct 12, 2008 12:41 am

Well isn't it always the case, go for years without seeing any and a few turn up at once...like waiting for a bus really. :roll:

My first contribution to the pictures on these forums!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/25517093@N06/2875412641/ Possibly a Poclain 90, fitted with an electromagnet

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/balacau/Misc%20stuff/misc/quayside076.jpg Sadly this Poclain is no longer there, I guess its become the victim of another rehandler and scrapped.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/balacau/Misc%20stuff/misc/Poclainscraphandler.jpg Another Poclain, identified as an 85 (apparently there is very little difference between the 85 and the 90 apart from some engine specifics). At the same site, there are 3 other rehandlers, all wheeled bright blue Fuch's built machines which high-elevated cabs.

Hope you all enjoy the pics :thumbs_up:

I do have a few Thompsons of Prudhoe pictures.

Cat 350L long reach demo shear;

I'm sure I have a few more pictures floating around, will see if I can dig them up and upload to my flickr/webshots/photobucket accounts.

Alot of the sites which I am keeping an eye on now are being run by G O'Briens.

Not sure if you will be around Newcastle at the time Tim, but when the infamous "Get Carter" multi-story carpark in Gateshead is demolished, that will be a very large and exclusively Thompson's-run site. Demo work has been postponed however due to financial problems of the redevelopment.

Should get some good pictures too, hopefully Ill have a more powerful zoom lens by then.
